KimboCare revolutionises healthcare

KimboCare allows you to purchase quality care packages (health credits) for your loved ones while keeping your expenditure under control. No need to transfer money.

The vision of KimboCare is a world in which access to quality, affordable healthcare is a reality for everyone.

KimboCare's mission

True financial empowerment starts with the right to access to quality healthcare. Our mission is to empower vulnerable populations, especially women and children, to achieve better health. We are united by our goal of advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals by promoting the health and well-being of communities and gender equality.

Why did you create KimboCare?

KimboCare begins with the story of two African immigrants who had to care for their loved ones left behind in Africa while studying and working in the US and Europe. Like millions of immigrants around the world, we transferred money back home to help our loved ones pay their medical bills, but were frustrated by the lack of transparency about how the money was actually used and the inability to guarantee that they were receiving the quality of timely care that their medical condition deserved. With KimboCare, we said never again. Immigrants work very hard to thrive in culturally challenging environments and see their dreams come true. Staying in touch with their families back home and meeting their healthcare needs shouldn't compromise the results of their efforts. That's why we created KimboCare. KimboCare's technology platform allows immigrants to purchase preventive and curative care services at affordable prices (health credits) and offer them to their loved ones as and when they need them. You give as much and as often as you like, without committing to monthly premiums as you would with insurance. To further our mission, KimboCare also works with organisations to enable better access to quality care at the community level. As a result, we design and deploy health programmes around certain medical conditions, particularly preventative care, to educate people and enable them to live healthier lives and thrive in other aspects of their lives.

How do patients access care?

Once our customers designate their loved ones as beneficiaries of their health credits, prepaid medical services, online directly on our platform, KimboCare informs the patient by SMS or a phone call with essential information, including the name of the local medical partner to visit.

KimboCare aims to develop a network in developing regions and disadvantaged communities. We currently work with carefully selected medical partners (hospitals, pharmacies and other healthcare providers) in several African countries: Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal and Cameroon.

Our Swiss quality technology platform enables our customers to purchase medical care in the form of health credits, our innovative concept, for patients with limited financial means; these patients in turn use these health credits with dedicated medical partners in developing regions.

We take advantage of technologies blockchain, mobile and bigdata to provide a holistic solution for our customers, patients and medical partners. In addition, we work with our medical partners and other local organisations to understand the key social determinants and integrate them into the platform design.
